Conscious Youth Awarded £77,000.00 by National Lottery’s Million Hour Fund to Extend Youth Activities for At-Risk Young People

Conscious Youth is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded a generous grant of £77,000.00 by the National Lottery’s Million Hour Fund. This funding will be used to extend the youth activities at our youth provision ‘The Corner Hub’, in Huddersfield Town Centre. The fund is aimed at supporting young people at risk of anti-social behavior in our community.

The National Lottery’s Million Hour Fund aims to support organisations that are making a positive impact in their communities by providing opportunities for young people to engage in constructive activities and develop essential life skills.

With this significant grant, we will be able to expand our existing programme of activities which are designed to empower and improve mental and emotional resilience. The funding will enable us to provide free accessible diversionary activities on most evenings of the week. These activities include; music production and recording sessions, targeted trauma-therapy sessions, open access youth club for college students and educational opportunities.

“We are incredibly grateful to the National Lottery’s Million Hour Fund for their generous support,” said Sophie Simpson, Director of Operations at Conscious Youth. “This funding will enable us to reach even more young people in our community and provide them with the tools, resources, and support they need to make positive choices and thrive.”

At Conscious Youth we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where all young people have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
