From Bedroom Beats to Big Dreams: Huddersfield’s Rising Stars Take Centre Stage at the Novella EP Launch

Music has the power to change lives, and on Sunday 19th July, you’ll have the chance to witness exactly that.

Conscious Youth C.I.C. is proud to invite the community to the official launch of Novella – a brand-new collaborative EP created by talented young artists from across Kirklees through our Elevation Music Programme.

This isn’t just another music event. It’s a celebration of creativity, resilience and opportunity.

For many of the young people performing, this will be their first time taking to the stage with music they have written, recorded and produced themselves. What started as ideas in bedrooms has grown into professionally recorded tracks that showcase the incredible talent emerging from our local communities.

More Than Music

The Elevation Music Programme is designed to give young people aged 13–25 access to opportunities that are often out of reach. Throughout the programme, participants develop skills in:

  • Songwriting
  • Music production
  • Recording and performance
  • Artist development
  • Branding and marketing
  • The music industry and business

Alongside developing their musical ability, young people build confidence, improve teamwork, develop communication skills and discover pathways into creative careers.

Building on an Incredible Legacy

This year’s project follows the success of previous cohorts who:

  • Created the official theme song for the Huddersfield Literature Festival.
  • Achieved more than 50,000 streams across digital platforms.
  • Performed live at community events and festivals.
  • Continued their creative journeys into further education, employment and professional music opportunities.

The release of Novella represents another exciting chapter in that journey.
