Aspiring Young Artists Release Community EP Album Through Conscious Youth’s Elevation Music Programme

Conscious Youth C.I.C is proud to announce the release of a groundbreaking community EP album, created by aspiring young artists and producers as part of the Elevation Music Programme. This innovative initiative is designed to nurture grassroots talent, providing hands-on experience in music production, artist development, and the music business.

“The programme is not just about creating music; it’s about empowering young people to explore their creativity, develop valuable skills, and unleash their potential,” said Josh Depass of Elevation Music C.I.C.

Building on the success of the previous cohort—who had the incredible opportunity to create the official theme song for the Huddersfield Literature Festival in 2024—the current participants have collaborated to produce a full EP album. In addition, thanks to funding from Kirklees Council and the Levelling Up fund, a new new job role has been created and young creatives will lead the planning and delivery of a highly anticipated album launch event on Sunday, 16th March 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Turntable Cafe in Huddersfield town centre. The event will feature performances from the programme’s participants and special guest artists.

“For some of the participants, this will be their very first time performing in front of an audience. That’s why grassroots opportunities like the Elevation Music Programme are so important—to help young people explore their talent and build confidence,” said Serena Johnson, Co-founder and Director at Conscious Youth C.I.C.

Conscious Youth C.I.C extends its heartfelt thanks to Youth Music, whose funding support has enabled the pilot of this programme and the development of a professional recording studio at The Corner Hub.
