Voices2Action Democracy Programme
The Voices2Action Democracy is an innovative and inspiring way to improve young people’s understanding of democracy. It aims to increase their interest through creative, imaginative and meaningful activities.
This activity based programme empowers young people with the knowledge and skills to be more politically engaged and active in their local communities. The programme explores a number of topics significant to understanding how local and national democracy works. Topics help young people to understand; the history of democracy, the election and voting process, the role of a local councilor, how parliament works and ways they can use their Voices2Action and make a positive difference in their community.
Voices2Action is a 12-hour (6 sessions) programme designed for young people aged 12-24 years old. The programme can be delivered to groups of 10-30 participants, sessions lasting 1.5 - 2 hours. However, there is room for flexibility in the structure of the programme and we can also offer half/full day workshops covering selected content from the programme.
